if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Do I need to be in Sandpoint, Idaho to work with you?
Not at all! I work with clients virtually across the country. Consultations are held via Zoom and all products are shipped directly to your home.
What if I’m taking Rx medications?
This is a critical part of our initial consultation. I am trained in herb-drug interactions and will create a protocol that is safe and complementary to your current healthcare plan, always working with the utmost care and respect for your medical needs. In addition it is important to note that NTP’s and Herbalists are part of your overall healthcare team, not a replacement for PCP, rather, complimentary to.
How long will it take to see results?
Because each body responds differently, changes can emerge in different ways and at different paces. Some people notice early shifts in energy, digestion, sleep or mood, while for others the changes are quieter and build over time. Sustainable, meaningful change is typically the result of steady, longer-term support rather than quick fixes. Ideally, Herbalism becomes a lifelong commitment and therefore a slow deep process.
Is the cost of herbs and supplements included in the price package?
The price is for my clinical service fee. The cost of herbs and supplements is separate, as it is 100% customized to you.
]What if I don’t like the taste of herbs?
This is a common concern! We have many options, from tinctures and capsules to teas and powders. We will find a method that works for you. Your comfort and consistency are my top priorities. That being said, learning to adapt our pallets is part of an herbal path and will be something that we can work together towards.
Is herbalism the same as naturopathy?
Is clinical herbalism the same as naturopathy?
Not quite. My training and scope are centered specifically in clinical herbalism and nutritional therapy. I work deeply with medicinal plants—their traditional and contemporary uses, energetics, formulation, dosing, safety and how they may be thoughtfully matched to the person in front of me.
Naturopathy generally covers a much broader scope of care and may include things like laboratory testing, specialized testing and depending on the provider and where they practice, prescription medications.
I don’t see these approaches as either/or. Many people work with a naturopath, physician or other healthcare provider alongside an herbalist. My role is to bring a depth of focus to plant medicine, nutrition and the whole-person patterns that may be influencing how you’re feeling.
